SEO Services

I take pride in helping businesses and publications thrive online with meticulous research, data-driven strategies and a focus on quality content above all else. My work in SEO-targeted content began in 2011, when I started freelance writing for lifestyle and news websites. The world of Search Engine Optimization has changed a lot since then, and my work has since expanded to include data-driven technical and off-page tactics, as well as sustainable strategies for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

The most successful SEO campaigns take a multi-pronged approach, and so I rely on a variety of tools for comprehensive insights: Google Analytics, Google Trends, Moz, PageSpeed Insights and SEO Meta (to name just a few!)

Increasing traffic 900%

This beer retailer operated almost entirely via its app and had little website presence with less than 800 visits a month. This was because the site primarily existed as just a landing page to direct users to download the company’s app. As a content writer for this company, I approached leadership and suggested that the website could be better utilized to bring in more customers.

I worked with other teams to add important informational pages, optimizing for high-volume search terms in our target market. I also set up a blog for the site with at least two listicles and one long-form article being posted a month. We also added easy sharing buttons on social media for each article and employed a dedicated internal linking strategy. After six months, traffic increased 900% and continued to rise.

From page 22 to page 2

This client got most of her business via friends and in-person events, and she was looking to start getting more out of her website. When we met, her Wix website had a landing page with minimal text and a lot of images, a testimonials page and a contact page. Her average SERP ranking was 22, garnering her only a few visitors a month.

I built her a strong keyword target group based on business, location and ideal clientele. I also provided alt text for images and scaled down the size (the large sizes were found to be holding back page speed). Together, we created five new pages for her website to encompass FAQs, an About page and Services. Since she had so many great images, we moved these into a separate gallery page and only kept a few on the home page for a cleaner look and to create space for optimized intro text. Within three months, she moved from page 22 to page 2, with some keywords reaching an average of page 1.

From invisible to share-worthy

This client had a blog that was not getting much traffic. As a small animal hospital group in New Mexico, they were hoping to use the blog to help with client retention and increase their presence among locals in the area. I recognized the value of the content they were providing but also realized that it was not well optimized for SEO. And though the blog had been live for a few years, new articles were not regularly posted nor shared on social media. I also discovered that none the articles (nor any of the other website pages) had meta titles and descriptions, and most pages started with an H3 header instead of an H1.

I wrote a series of 10 articles for this client both to quickly add optimized content and serve as models for future work. I also advised on a more routine publishing cadence and that new articles should be shared on social media. The client also took my advice and reworked their website headers with the proper tags and added optimized meta titles and descriptions. Within a few months, the client started seeing a 60% increase in site traffic.
